Guess Who's on Amazon?!?!

Hooray and hallelujah! We have overcome!

Please check out our listing on Amazon. And if you know someone who is looking for a really great children’s book for a Christmas gift, send them a link! I just know that Amazon is sitting there, drumming their fingers, humming softly to themselves, waiting with bated breath to fill your (or your friend’s) order!

I do want to say thank you to those of you who have purchased this book. It would mean a great deal to me if you could take a moment to send in a review to Amazon.com. Reviews make a huge difference in the life of a book and an author.

But wait! There’s more! (Don’t you love that phrase?) We should be announcing any day now that the SECOND book is available as well! Yes, Tom T. Brightens Toby’s Day should be rolling off the presses momentarily. We will keep you informed as to when we have it in our hot little hands!

God bless you with a beautiful Merry Christmas!

We've hit a snag...

For those of you who know me well, this will come as no surprise. I don’t absolutely love technology. Shocked?

We are nearly to the point in the process where my first book, Tom T.’s Tale, in the Down Home on the Farm series is available on Amazon, but not quite there. We really expected this to be a done deal by now. My daughter thinks that we’re in the final throes of getting this done, and I’m doing my best to believe her.

That being said, I offer my apologies that the book isn’t available on Amazon, just yet. If it had been up to me, it would be! Thank you for your patience, as well as your support. I’ll post an update as soon as I can.

Drumroll please! COVER ART REVEAL!

I am so excited to announce the release of my first book in the Down Home on the Farm series, Tom T.’s Tale! I cannot even begin to contain my excitement! This series was originally conceived around four DECADES ago, and the fact that I finally get to share it with those I love, and the world, is such a dream come true. Smile.

I have had so much help, finally getting this story into print, and I don’t know where to begin to list all of the people who have been instrumental in preparing me, as well as the story itself, for this momentous occasion. So, that part may have to wait until I can get my thoughts together and thank them all properly. Believe me when I say that this entire process is akin to learning a really convoluted foreign language. It’s like if you spoke another language, and were being taught English by someone who could only speak in riddles. Or puns. Yuck.

But, thankfully, I have been blessed with a family and community who want as badly to see me succeed as I want to finally have my books published, and they have filled in some of the many tiny pieces, to the point that we very nearly have a full puzzle. Speaking of pictures… Do you want to see it? Because I really, really want to show it to you! OK. Here it is:

What do you think? Did Janice outdo herself on the illustrations or what? And how about that layout? The graphic designer did a lovely job, doncha think?

It is with a happy sigh, and more than a tear or two that I get to share this with you! Tom T.’s Tale is printed, and will be available on Amazon by November 1st! My daughter insists on calling this my “limited first edition bilingual hardback print copy”, which is certainly a mouthful. Very soon, you’ll be able to get your hands on a copy of your own.

Thank you for joining me for just a hint of my excitement!

Stay tuned for future editions, and book 2 of the Down Home on the Farm series is on its way…

An Amazing Illustrator on Board!

Well, the search is successful! After much seeking and consideration, a relative of a friend turns out to be the most amazing illustrator I have run across! It is so exciting to see the beautiful work that Janice Pringle provides! She comes from a long line of artists, although this is her first book. I am most delighted to introduce Janice to you so that you can be as pleased and amazed as I am!

I’m going to let her introduce herself to you in her own words.

Janice+Pringle+picture.jpg

I was born in Oklahoma and raised in Montana, finishing my last two years of high school at a Christian school in Saskatchewan, Canada. My husband and I met in Colorado, were married in 1972, and have lived in Texas ever since.

We are blessed to live part time on a family ranch in central TX. The other time is spent with our two amazing daughters and their families who live next door to each other in north TX. We have 2 wonderful sons-in-law, 4 beautiful granddaughters, and 2 incredible grandsons.

I come from a family of very talented and creative people. My love for art started as a child with pencil drawings, and over the years has expanded into other artistic ventures. I have had many different jobs. However, it seems that I have always managed to continue doing some kind of artwork, whether it was for business or for friends. Now that I have retired, I spend my time on various creative projects.

I feel blessed that God brought Lura and me together to be a part of this great series of books. I pray that I will use this gift He has given me to His glory.
